What a Supported Practice Can Look Like: Less Admin, More Focus

One of my clients walks into her clinic most mornings with a coffee in one hand and nothing in the other. No backlog. No sticky notes of callbacks she forgot. Her inbox has 4 unread messages instead of 40, because someone already went through the rest.

It sounds simple. That's kind of the whole point!

In a supported practice, the day doesn't start with catching up. The 20 minute gap between patients actually stays a gap, instead of getting swallowed by admin. Charting gets finished the same day instead of following her home for the weekend.

None of this means less clinical work. It means fewer things pulling at her attention that have nothing to do with the patient in front of her: the inbox, the scheduling, the intake, the follow up.

If a day like that sounds like a stretch from where you're at right now, it's usually closer than it feels. Most of my clients start with just one piece (usually the inbox) and build from there.
